Mission
The mission of the Isaac Newton Academy for Science and Technology Charter School is to provide innovative programs that enhance and promote excellence for inner-city youth in the areas of Science and Technology. Working with parents and students, Isaac Newton Academy will provide students with the tools needed for them to excel in higher education. Isaac Newton Academy is a middle school, serving fifth through eighth grade. In addition to the standard middle school curriculum, intensive courses in science, technology, and mathematics will be offered through the use of extended class days and a longer school year. Our beautiful campus includes state-of-the-art technology in all classrooms,Our experienced, skilled teaching staff works together as a team to guide our students through his or her academic journey. Philosophy
The educational program of the Isaac Newton Academy for Science and Technology though rigorous, will be designed to address the individual needs of every student. The goal of the ISNAST is that our graduates reach their highest potential and go to colleges of their choice.
The focus of the technology education will not only prepare students for careers in technology but also provide all students with the technological tools necessary for careers in our changing economy. While providing instruction in current essential tools such as, word processing and spreadsheets. The coursework will also focus on critical thinking, teamwork, and project management. The curriculum will stress the reality that technology is constantly evolving to adapt to the needs of ever changing society.
The Science curriculum will provide hands-on learning from a discovery approach in state-of-the-art science laboratories.
